Introduction

The Sana Agents Notetaker is designed for seamless, intuitive control, so you can manage meeting documentation and privacy with simple in-meeting chat commands. Whether you want to pause recording, request a summary, or ensure privacy during sensitive discussions, Notetaker commands keep you in charge of your meeting experience.

Key information

With Sana Agents Notetaker, you can guide the note-taking process directly from your meeting chat. These commands let you start, pause, resume, or stop the Notetaker without leaving the meeting.

Supported platforms

Notetaker commands are only available in the following meeting platforms:

  • Zoom

  • Google Meet

  • Microsoft Teams

In Microsoft Teams, there is an additional limitation:

  • Bots can only receive chat messages if the meeting chat is accessible to anonymous participants. If this setting is disabled, the Notetaker will not receive or act on commands.

If the meeting platform does not support bot chat messages, or if the Microsoft Teams anonymous chat requirement is not met, the Sana Agents Notetaker will not be able to act on your commands.

In those cases, the Notetaker will continue its default behavior for the meeting.

How-to / guidance

Using Notetaker commands during meetings

Type any of the following commands in your meeting chat to control the Notetaker. Make sure you are in a supported platform and, for Microsoft Teams, that the meeting chat is accessible to anonymous participants.

  • Sana Agents: help

  • Displays a list of available commands and how to use them in the current meeting.

  • Sana Agents: pause
Pauses the Notetaker’s recording and summarizing activities.

  • Sana Agents: resume
Resumes the Notetaker’s recording and summarizing of the meeting.

  • Sana Agents: leave
Removes the Notetaker from the meeting.

  • Sana Agents: destroy
Removes the Notetaker from the meeting and permanently deletes all its data for that meeting.

Warning: This action -> (Sana Agents: destroy) cannot be undone.

Tip: Use these commands to ensure privacy, manage documentation, and tailor the Notetaker’s behavior to your needs in real time.

FAQ

Q: Which meeting platforms support Notetaker commands?
A: Notetaker commands are supported in Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. If you are using another platform, the Notetaker will not respond to chat commands.

Q: Are there any limitations in Microsoft Teams?
A: Yes. In Microsoft Teams, bots can only receive chat messages if the meeting chat is accessible to anonymous participants. If this setting is disabled, the Notetaker will not receive or act on your commands, even if you type them correctly.

Q: Can anyone use Notetaker commands?
A: Yes. Any meeting participant can enter these commands in the meeting chat, as long as the meeting is running in a supported platform and, for Microsoft Teams, the chat setting for anonymous participants allows bot access.

Q: What happens if I use the destroy command?
A: The Notetaker leaves the meeting and all data for that session is permanently deleted. This action cannot be undone.

Q: How do I see which commands are available?
A: Type Sana Agents: help in the meeting chat to display the list of available commands for that meeting.
