Overview

The Agents feature in Sana Agents is designed to enhance user productivity by providing AI-driven support tailored to specific tasks and knowledge areas. This innovative tool offers improved transparency, usability, and customization options, making it an essential component for streamlined workflows and efficient task management.

Key Features

  • Enhanced Navigation: Users can easily navigate between different agents on the new start page by swiping or clicking in the top bar, providing quick access to the tools they need.

  • Knowledge-based agent: Each agent is grounded in specific knowledge bases, ensuring that queries are answered with relevant and authorized information.

  • Task guidance: Agents can guide users through predefined tasks, helping streamline workflows and improve efficiency.

  • Customizable agents: The Agent Builder allows users to create custom agents by defining their name, color theme, icon, and description. Users can integrate specific knowledge sources and set up tasks to ensure the agent is equipped to handle relevant queries effectively.

  • Permission management: Users can manage permissions to decide who can chat with or edit the agent. Workspace admins can pin a default agent for all users, ensuring consistency and accessibility across the organization.

Setup Instructions

  1. To create a new agent, click on the Agents button on the left panel of Sana Agents. Click Create. This initiates a four-step process to fully customize your agent.

  2. Persona: Assign a name and a handle that can be used directly in chat with an @ symbol. Add a description to inform team members about the agent's purpose, and provide instructions for specific answer formats.

  3. Knowledge: Choose specific assets such as files, collections, and meetings for the agent to use in its responses. To remove assets, hover over them and click the bin icon. Select whether the agent should utilize workspace content or web information.

  4. Tasks: Add tasks using the search field or create new ones directly on the page. These tasks will guide users through workflows and are also included in the overall task list.

  5. Visibility: Determine who can access the agent and specify their access levels. You can share it with the entire workspace as a Viewer or Editor and optionally set it as the default agent. Alternatively, you can share it with specific individuals, assigning them roles such as Owner, Editor, or Viewer. Click Done.

Note: If a user does not have access to the underlying Knowledge, they are not able to access it through the agent.

Conclusion

The new Agents in Sana Agents provide a robust platform for enhancing productivity through tailored support and streamlined workflows. With improved customization, targeted knowledge access, and enhanced usability, these agents offer users a more efficient and personalized experience.
