Introduction

Connect your Jira account to Sana Agents and unlock seamless access to your project data. With this private integration, you can search and retrieve your Jira issues directly within Sana Agents, so you don't have to switch between tools. Your permissions stay intact, and your data stays secure.

Integration capabilities

The Jira integration lets you:

  • Index and search all your Jira issues and related data within Sana Agents

  • Retrieve information quickly without leaving the platform

  • Maintain security with end-to-end encryption and permission-based access

Type of Integration

Private. This means you securely connect your personal Jira account to your Sana Agents workspace. Only you can access your data through this integration.

Scope and permissions

To connect your Jira account, Sana Agents requests the following permissions:

  • offline_access – Keeps Sana Agents connected to Jira

  • read:jira-user – Reads user names and email addresses

  • read:jira-work – Reads your Jira issues and related data

  • read:me – Reads your email and list of Jira sites

  • report:personal-data – Reports stored data to Atlassian for GDPR compliance

Integration Setup

  1. In the left panel of Sana Agents, click Integrations, find Jira in the list, and click on it.

  2. Click Connect just for me.

  3. Follow the Jira authentication steps shown in the new window or tab. If you have access to multiple Jira sites, select the one you want to connect with from the drop-down menu. Click Accept.

  4. Your Jira issues will now begin to sync in the background.
