Introduction

The Jira integration enhances project management by allowing Sana AI to access and index data directly from Jira. This integration facilitates streamlined workflows by enabling users to efficiently retrieve information and insights from Jira projects. It supports both indexing and updating data, making it versatile for various team needs. This integration respects existing Jira permissions, ensuring that data access remains secure and compliant with organizational policies.

Type of Integration

Private, which enables individual users to securely connect their personal accounts with Sana AI.

Scope and Permissions

We require the following permissions to provide you with the best functionality:

  • offline_access (maintain access to Jira)

  • read:jira-user (read user emails and names, if available)

  • read:jira-work (read Jira issues and related data)

  • read:me (read your email and Jira sites)

  • report:personal-data (report stored data to Atlassian for GDPR)

  • write:jira-work (create Jira issues through Sana AI actions)

Integration Setup

  1. In the left panel of Sana AI, click Integrations, find Jira in the list, and click on it.

  2. Click Connect just for me.

  3. Follow the Jira authentication steps shown in the new window or tab. If you have access to multiple Jira sites, select the one you want to connect with from the drop-down menu. Click Accept.

  4. Your Jira issues will now begin to sync in the background.
