Introduction

The GitHub integration for Sana Agents is designed to help your team collaborate more easily and work smarter. By connecting your GitHub repositories—both public and private—to Sana Agents, you can quickly retrieve issues and pull requests, with even more data types coming soon. This integration fits right into your existing workflows, so you can leverage AI-powered insights and automation without missing a beat. Sana Agents always respects GitHub’s permission settings, ensuring your data remains secure and compliant.

Integration capabilities

With the GitHub integration, Sana Agents can:

  • Access and index data from both public and private repositories you have permission to view.

  • Retrieve issues and pull requests directly within Sana Agents.

  • Surface relevant repository information to help you stay organized and up-to-date.

  • Support your team with AI-driven insights and workflow automation.

More capabilities will be added soon as the integration evolves.

Type of integration

This is a private integration. Each user connects their own GitHub account to Sana Agents, ensuring that only you can access your repositories and data through the integration.

Scope & permissions

To deliver a seamless experience, the GitHub integration requests the following permission:

  • repo: Grants access to all public and private repositories you have permission to view.

Sana Agents only accesses the data necessary to provide its features, always respecting your GitHub permissions.

Integration Setup

  1. In the left panel of Sana Agents, click Integrations, find GitHub in the list, and click on it.

  2. Click Connect just for me.

  3. Follow the GitHub authentication steps shown in the new window or tab.

  4. Your GitHub data will now begin to sync in the background.

Known limitations

  • Only private integrations are supported; shared or centralized connections are not available.

  • Currently, only issues and pull requests are indexed. Additional data types will be supported soon.

Q: Is my GitHub data secure with Sana Agents?
A: Yes. All data accessed by Sana Agents is encrypted in transit and at rest. Sana does not use your data to train language models. We are ISO 27001 certified, GDPR compliant, and committed to the highest standards of data security.

Q: Can I disconnect the GitHub integration at any time?
A: Absolutely. You can disconnect your GitHub account from Sana Agents at any time from the Integrations panel.

A: Only you. This is a private integration, so your connected data is not shared with others.
