Introduction

Scheduled Tasks in Sana Agents allow you to automate recurring processes -whether it’s daily workflows or monthly retrospectives - scheduled tasks will make sure they happen automatically at the set time or intervals. This saves time, ensures consistency, and enables workflows to continue uninterrupted. It's a powerful way for both new and experienced users to increase productivity and reliability.

How to Use Scheduled Tasks

1. Access Scheduled Tasks

  • Go to the Tasks section.

  • Click on Scheduled to see your scheduled tasks


2. Create a Scheduled Task

  • On the tasks tab, click Create Task.

  • Set the following:

    • Task Name and Instruction

    • Sources: Specify which files or databases the task will use

    • Access Settings: Decide who can access the task

    • Once the task is created, Click on the task to go to the schedule tab on the task.

    • Schedule: Click on the schedule tab to choose your task cadence - e.g. daily, weekly, monthly, or annually. You can also choose the time you want the task to run.

    • Once you are done with your selections, Click Start to activate automatic running

  • Your scheduled task set up is now complete. You can now see how often your scheduled task runs, when the task will run again, and if you decide to run it manually - you can do so by clicking Run now.

3. Edit, Unschedule or Delete a Scheduled Task

  • In the Scheduled Tasks dashboard, find your task. Click on the task you want to edit.

  • Use the 3 dots next to the scheduled tab to edit, unschedule (disable scheduled task) or delete the task.

  • All changes take effect immediately for the next scheduled run.
